A bunch of Intellectuals came together with their sparking ideas and enthusiasm and ‘Swami Vivekanand Pratishthan’ got sculpted in 1995. Their integration was aimed at enlightening the people of Uruli Kanchan. Motivated by these noble thoughts a ‘Vyakhyanmala’ (spring of lectures) was organized as its first step which is continued to be conducted till date without any gap every year. This comprises of ‘lectures’ or ‘vyakhyans’ given by well known personalities from every field eg: Doctors, Literates, Politicians, Poets, Writers, Actors etc. Due to this, people of Uruli Kanchan were benefitted by the valuable thoughts of these personalities. In 1996, a thought emerged amongst this group of gems to start a Marathi medium school as it was a need of time in Uruli Kanchan. This thought gained shape in 1997-98 and Swami Vivekanand Vidyamandir got established along with JR, SR Kg English Medium also. This caravan, started with a strength of just 80 students (Marathi medium) and 30 (English medium, Pre-primary), and has continued to come a longway.
Under this roof, provision of a high level meritorious education was made available for the children of Uruli Kanchan: which was always their right and a need that was kept away just because of rural surrounding. This, was sensed by the Pratishthan and the caravan continued with its priceless goals to be achieved in near future. In 2014-15, due to strong demand from many responsible and remarkable parents, Swami Vivekanand Academy-CBSE took shape. Here, an unbeatable high-level education with modern equipments began to be provided to the children of Uruli Kanchan and surrounding areas from Playgroup to Vth. This in continuation in Jan 2017-18 lead to Swami Vivekanand Academy-CBSE to receive affiliation from Central Board of Secondary Education. This was a fruitful reward that resulted from the endless efforts added by all members, teachers and staff of the Pratishthan. This caravans are still in progress with full enthusiasm towards next goals, set forward to achieve in near future.
